It's Not Too Late the Get the Flu Vaccine
The 2012-13 influenza (flu) season has arrived in Texas. But it’s not too late to get yourself and your family vaccinated. Since it takes about 2 weeks after receiving your flu vaccine to develop the antibodies that protect you and your children against this serious infection, the time to get vaccinated is now. Remember, the flu vaccine is your best defense against seasonal flu. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get the flu vaccine.
The Flu Vaccine Finder, provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), can help you locate flu vaccine clinics near you. Simply enter your zip code or city and state to find mapped locations of flu vaccine locations near you.
